My name is Paul Slocombe and I am an international educator with 30 years of experience leading schools, working with school boards, and mentoring senior school leaders. My goal has always been to make schools better, and provide children with outstanding learning opportunities.
The depth of experience that I bring to my consulting role is unique. Fifty percent of my experience has been in British-based curriculum schools and fifty percent in American-based curriculum schools.
My career covers the breadth of the educational world, and includes working in deprived inner city schools to leading some of the most renowned independent and international schools in the world. As an educator, I have been a Fulbright recipient, a teacher, coach, department head, academic dean, college counselor, deputy head, and head of school. I have led schools in the UK, USA and internationally, and during that time provided mentoring and training to school boards, school leaders and teachers.
I now work full time providing professional support to school boards, current and aspiring heads of school, and teachers looking for international teaching opportunities.
As a consultant, you will find that I listen carefully, reflect thoughtfully, and engage with intent. I provide analysis and guidance based on my experience and research, with total integrity. You will find me direct but kind. I do not always deliver what people want to hear, but I always deliver an honest and accurate professional appraisal of the situation with the most empathy possible. My intent is always to provide choices, solutions, and opportunities for growth.
